Sicily hits Condé Nast Traveller’s top 3 most beautiful islands

We all know very well the beauty of Sicily, its hidden treasures and its wonders, as our readers and our guests surely do by now. We wouldn’t need confirmations on this, but it’s always pleasing to get some. That’s why we’re very happy to learn that Sicily has been included in the Top 3 published by Condé Nast Traveller on the most beautiful islands in the world  (check the July issue).

The ranking created by the most famous travel magazine of the world is based on a questionnaire submitted to its readers, asking to evaluate scenery, beaches, cost of living, food, quality of accommodations and interactions with locals. Sicily ranked 3rd right behind Maldives and the Greek archipelagos; and then come Saint Barts, Antilles, Balearic islands, Seychelles, followed by another Italian island, Capri and Barbados.

The beauty of its beaches surely gave a boost to Sicily, but beauty alone wouldn’t do the trick. There’s something more that entice the travellers that arrive on the island. The food of course, the best culinary tradition of the world according to some; the charme of the Sicilian countryside, something you’re not even slightly prepared to the first time you get here; the attitude of Sicilians, always ready to make you feel welcomed and definitely among friends.

These things altogether create a magic chemistry, that spirit that make people fall in love with this land. We know that very well, and that’s what we try to offer to all our guests. Take a look at our catalogue of villas in Sicily and we’re sure you’ll find that authentic spirit that makes Sicily unique.
